About the job
The mission of the Crime Prevention Department is to prevent, combat, and investigate economic crime, serious tax evasion, both nationally and internationally, and population registration as a tool for crime.
As an investigator in the Crime Prevention Department, you will investigate various methods used to reduce or completely avoid tax.
We are now looking for someone who wants to work within Hidden Foreign Income, a part of the Combat arena. Here, you will help combat individuals and companies hiding their assets and income by exploiting rules in other countries and an international playing field. Within this sub-arena, we combat significant tax evasion and exploitation of the welfare system. The aim is to prevent and combat tax evasion that is international, advanced, and affects welfare.
The tasks are extensive and complex and require close cooperation with colleagues. The work demands high efficiency and quality, and you are expected to assess which action and investigation method is best suited for each individual case.
You will belong to Crime Prevention Unit 6 at the Crime Prevention Department, located in Gothenburg or Halmstad. The unit consists of about 190 colleagues.

You should have:
- a university degree of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits) in economics, law, or another relevant higher education
- current and relevant work experience in economic or auditing work, or current and relevant experience from work with in-depth investigations or audits at a government agency.
It is desirable that you have current and relevant work experience in international taxation issues.
Good to know
The employment is permanent and may start with a six-month probationary period.
An employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
